Our Story
A couple of years ago, we started to plan seriously for our retirement years. We decided that a good starting point would be to make an early investment in real estate (experience saying that it won't be getting cheaper as we near retirement). Our approach was to find a part of the country that was well suited to our beliefs and anticipated lifestyle, incorporating a high percentage of our wants, needs and desires, utilizing a best guess of how we will feel at that future age and time. We looked into our crystal ball and came up with a list of candidate cities, applied a ranking system of what we felt to be the most important considerations, and voila - Branson emerged without a close runner-up. Click on Our Story for all the details.

"Branson is just for old folks & country music" - Far from it!

How about taxes? Oops - the dreaded "T" word. See what CNN/Money had to say in their rankings HERE. In essence, Minnesota was the 10th worst overall state tax environment and Missouri was the 10th best overall state tax environment.

BRANSON IS A GREAT CHOICE FOR:

2nd Homes
The Branson area is within a day's drive or a short flight from the Twin Cities, making it within easy reach for maximum enjoyment on long getaway weekends, holidays, spring break, golf and fishing excursions, and family reunions. The recreational and entertainment offerings in the Branson Tri-Lakes area are unsurpassed.

Retirement
Branson offers comfortable living at affordable prices in a more moderate climate than Minnesota. In addition to the low cost of living, healthcare and climate, one of the area's greatest attributes is the abundance of recreational and entertainment offerings, making it a magnet for family, friends and oh yes, grandchildren. By the way, the state bird in Missouri is the bluebird, not the . . . well - you know!

Investment
Because of the area attractions that include extravagant stage shows, golf, world-class fishing and a new convention center, Branson hosts more than 7 million visitors each year. A large percentage of these visitors stay for a week or more, creating a booming condo rental market. These professionally managed properties are prime investment opportunities, coupling positive cash flow with favorable appreciation rates.

Combined Objectives
Getting back to our personal story and decision to choose Branson, we recognized a win-win opportunity. Part of our decision-making involved seeking out an appreciating real estate market to protect our equity investment, a favorable rental market to help offset our on-going cost of ownership and area attractions to keep us active after we move, plus draw family and friends to visit us.

We found our perfect spot, and you can, too.
